Benefit barbecue taking place for family of Shandon teen killed in weekend crash

A benefit barbecue is being held Thursday for the family of the Atascadero High School teen killed in Shandon over the weekend.

Friends are putting on the event to help the family of Oscar Silva Lizarraga, 16, from Shandon, who died in an accident on San Juan Road early Sunday morning.

The dinner, which includes tri-tip, beans, salad, and bread, will start being served between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Molly Pitcher Brewing Co. on El Camino Real in Atascadero. Dinners will be served until they run out of food.

Tickets are $10 each.

A shotgun raffle is also taking place. Tickets are $20 each and only 200 will be sold.

Tickets can be purchased at NAPA Auto Parts or West Coast Auto & Towing in Atascadero or by calling Shawn Salas at (805) 835-2189. They will also be available at the dinner.
