RICHMOND, Calif. (AP) Two Berkeley teenagers who died when the car they were in hit a school bus in Richmond have been identified.

Authorities said Thursday 16-year-old Kyle Strang was behind the wheel of the Dodge sedan, and 19-year-old Prentice Gray Jr. was in the passenger seat.

Richmond Police Sgt. Bisa French says Strang was exceeding the 50 mph speed limit on the Richmond Parkway when he lost control of the car around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, crossed the center median and hit the oncoming school bus.

No children were on the bus, and its driver was not hurt.

French said drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the crash although toxicology reports are pending.
