Robbie Berwick and Connor Kim each recorded double-doubles to lead the Atascadero boys basketball team by visiting Arlington 72-58 on Friday night in a Division 3AA second round playoff game. The Greyhounds advanced to the CIF quarterfinals for the fifth-straight year.
Berwick scored 10 points in both the first and third quarter to finish with a game-high 26 points and 10 assists. Kim tallied 12 points and 10 assists.
Joe Johnson poured in 13 points and Kevin Woodard finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds. The Hounds played without star Jared Stuedemann, who missed the game with a foot injury.
Seeded 8th in the division, Atascadero led 18-11 after the first quarter and 33-29 at the half. The Hounds outscored 9th seeded Arlington 24-12 in the third quarter to take a 57-41 lead into the fourth quarter.
Atascadero advances to the quarters to face either Leuzinger or Esparanza on the road.
