After losing several close games to start the season, the Greyhounds won a blowout to deliver first year head coach Matt Knudson his first win. The Atascadero High boys basketball team routed Nipomo 86-35 on Friday during day two of the 40th annual Taro Kobara Tournament hosted by Arroyo Grande High.
The Greyhounds led 56-15 at the half.
Brady Youngquist made 9 of his 17 three-point shots to finish with a team-high 27 points. Junior guard Robbie Berwick recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jared Stuedemann added 13 points and 5 rebounds, while Joe Johnson pitched in 12 points and 5 rebounds.
The Hounds improved to 1-5 overall. They play Clovis North at 9am on Saturday.
