A Santa Barbara woman has life-threatening injuries after police say she ran a red light while riding her bicycle and was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Santa Barbara Police say Talia Alessandra Tashma-Rapp, 18, was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after the collision at Victoria and Santa Barbara Streets just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators say she failed to stop at a red light and may have had earbuds in her ears as she was riding. She was not wearing a helmet.
