President Obama has declared January as National Mentoring Month. In honor of this month, we spoke with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Santa Maria. It's a nationally recognized mentoring program, which has been around for more than 100 years. The program pairs adults from all walks of life with young people ages 7-17 who enjoy similar interests. The goal is to develop positive and rewarding one-on-one mentoring relationships. We'll have more on how you can volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters tonight on KSBY News at 6.
