The driver of the big rig that pummeled into a Santa Barbara home last summer pleads not guilty to charges stemming from the crash, according to the district attorney's office.

Joaquin Morales is charged with three counts of felony vehicular manslaughter in connection with last August's crash. Morales was arraigned in a Santa Barbara County courtroom Monday morning.

Prosecutors say his truck failed to stop at Highway 154 and State Street and crashed into a home. The three people inside the home died. Investigators say Morales showed gross negligence in the way he drove and because of poor condition of his truck.
