The Big Sky Conference suspended four football players for one game each for actions that occurred in games last week on Tuesday, one of them was Cal Poly starting safety Alex Hubbard.

The junior was suspended for a high hit on a defenseless player. The play occurred with 13:57 remaining in the first quarter of the Mustangs' win over Weber State last Friday. Hubbard recorded 14 tackles in the 45-23 win.

Hubbard will serve the suspension on Saturday, Oct. 13, when the Mustangs play Northern Colorado.

Hubbard has started all five of Cal Poly's games. He ranks fourth on the team with 29 total tackles. He has one interception and four pass breakups.

14th ranked Cal Poly hosts Northern Colorado in a Big Sky Conference game on Saturday at 6pm. The game will be televised live on KSBY.
