Bikers ride to collect toys for children

Hundreds of motorcyclists rode along the Central Coast today to collect toys for underprivileged children. The 33rd annual SLO County Toy Run brought nearly 1,000 bikers to Avila Beach. The run ended at the Arroyo Grande Association Hall with a barbeque. Anyone was welcome to top sirloin, live music, and a raffle if they brought $5 and an unwrapped children's toy to the event. "It's such a good cause," SLO County Toy Run President Bernard Dudue said. "We put on one of the best barbecues in the area." All proceeds from the event go to families in need. The Toy Run usually helps about 2,000 families each year.
