The first-ever KSBY Sports Summer Olympic Challenge is in the books. Andrew Masuda won the fifth and final event, a marathon along the Central Coast, in a close finish. Andrew defeated Bill Halter three events to two.

Bill won the pole vaulting and race walking competitions, while Andrew emerged victorious in basketball, wrestling and the marathon.

A big credit goes out to Bill, who was the mastermind behind the series, which was designed to entertain viewers and get people excited about the world's top athletes competing for Gold in the Summer Olympics.

The opening ceremony for the London Olympics can be seen on KSBY from 7:30 pm-12 am Friday.
