A woman's blood may indicate if she's at an increased risk of memory problems after menopause.
Mayo Clinic researchers found women whose blood had a greater tendency to clot, had increased areas of white matter in the brain.
This type of brain damage can lead to memory problems and an increased risk of stroke.
Experts say preventing clotting in women could be a way to stop the progression of white matter and prevent serious memory and thinking issues in advanced age.
