The San Luis Obispo Blues and Santa Barbara Foresters baseball teams went in opposite directions in the latest national poll on Monday.
The Blues dropped from #5 to #23 in this week's poll issued by Perfect Game USA. The Blues are 18-10 and riding a two-game winning streak. However, they lost a season-high four in a row last week.
Santa Barbara climbed from 20th to 9th in the latest poll. The 19-8 Foresters own a team ERA of 1.80, after a stretch of 37 consecutive innings without giving up a run.
The two California Collegiate League rivals shared the title last summer. The Foresters are 11-4 in league with a 1.5 game lead over the 11-7 Blues to start the week.
