The San Luis Obispo Blues won on the road in Conejo, 5-4 on Saturday. The win improved the Blues to 30-13 overall and 18-9 in the California Collegiate League.
The Blues only had five hits in the game but drew eight walks. They broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the top of the seventh. Starting pitcher Dylan Mungar earned the win while allowing four runs in 6 2/3 innings. Phillip Gerber, Chad Girodo and Parker Ray combined to pitch 2 1/3 scoreless innings to protect the lead.
The Blues are off on Sunday but return home on Monday for a 6:00 pm game against Fresno. It willl be the first of seven games the Blues will play in seven days before going to Wichita, Kansas for a first round game in the NBC World Series on July, 31.
