The Blues fell to the Catch in their biggest defeat of the season which tied this series and turned game 3 into a rubber match game. The Blues were unable to keep the Catch's offense down as they were defeated 18-6 to the Catch. In the series deciding game with the Catch and the Blues, the Blues beat the Catch and won the series.
The game started out with two hot pitchers who struck out at least two batters in each side of the 1st inning. The Blues and Catch starters both made it clear that this would be a pitcher's duel and neither would give up runs easily. Blues leading batting average player Collin Ferguson hit a deep ball that bounced off the fence for a standing double for the Blues first hit of the game in the 2ed inning. However the Catch are the first to get on the board with a sacrifice fly in the 3rd inning they led the Blues 0-1. The first was off of a RBI single by Jeff Moberg that ran in Tyler Floyd and got Andrew Schmidt to third. The following batter Ryan Long hit another single that brought in Andrew Schmidt from third. The Blues ended the inning with the score 3-1. With Blake Whitter on the mound in the 7th inning the Catch scored making it a 1-run game. But in the bottom of the 7th Jeff Moberg started off the side with a leadoff home run making the score 4-2. After Jeff Moberg's home run the Blues scored 2 more before being retired in the 7th inning. Collin Ferguson hit a double that brought Zach Zehner into score and was later brought home by a single from Sheldon Neuse. The footloose frenzy ended and the Blues led the Catch 6-2. With a solid close from Sheldon Neuse the Blues won the game and the series 6-2.
