LOS ANGELES (AP) - Firefighters have found a body in a gutted two-story East Los Angeles commercial building.

City firefighters found flames shooting through the roof of the Whittier Boulevard building when they arrived early Monday.

Fire spokeswoman Katherine Main tells City News Service it took about 40 minutes to extinguish the flames.

A body was found inside the smoldering building, but there are no other details.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but an arson investigator is on the scene.
