Body found in burning car

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say a man's body has been found inside a burning car parked in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.

Police spokesman Richard French says firefighters at were called around 4:30 a.m. Friday. Fire officials called police when the body was found.

French says the body was in the driver's seat but investigators don't know yet who the man is, how he died or how the fire was set.

The car was found on 99th Street about two blocks east of Los Angeles International Airport.

Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says the body hasn't been examined yet.
