The Lompoc Fire Department says a body was found in a mobile home that caught on fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters say a man's body was found in the mobile home.
Police are in notifying next of kin. They do not know the cause of death at this time, but firefighters tell KSBY it was likely due to the fire.
The fire started just before 2:00 a.m. in the 800 block of North O Street within the City of Lompoc. Firefighters arrived within minutes of the call and found a single-wide mobile home on fire. They say the fire was threatening nearby mobile homes, but they were able to contain the fire to the mobile home.
Investigators will be on scene well into the morning. The Santa Barbara County Arson Task Force was called in to help.
No firefighters were injured.
