Body found on Isla Vista beach identified

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has identified the body that was found on a beach in Isla Vista as 21-year-old David Propp, a UCSB college student.

His body was found just after 8:30 Friday morning near the 6500 block of Del Playa Road.

A beach walker made the discovery.

Deputies say the young man had head and facial injuries consistent with someone who fell.

Propp's family has been notified of his death.
