Body found on railroad tracks in Paso Robles

Paso Robles Police Department received a 911 call Monday around 5:30 p.m. reporting an accident involving a train and a pedestrian in the area of the 24th Street.

Police say when they arrived on scene they located a white man, approximately 60 years old. He was laying on the railroad tracks with a northbound train stopped nearby.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department are currently investigating to determine the cause of death.

The person name has not been released until the next of kin is notified.
