KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - NATO says a bomb has killed three of its service members in eastern Afghanistan.
The coalition says the three were killed on Monday. The statement did not provide details about the attack nor the nationality of the service members killed. NATO usually waits for member nations to provide details about troop deaths.
Militants commonly plant bombs along roads used by security forces, inflicting high casualties on them as well as civilians.
So far this year, 142 coalition members have died in Afghanistan.
