The Arroyo Grande Police Department was called out to the Albertsons at 1100 West Branch Street on a report of a suspicious package. The call came in just after 12:15 p.m. Monday.

Police say an employee was opening a package when he or she saw a black cylinder in a sealed box. The employee moved the box outside and contacted the Arroyo Grande Police Department.

When police arrived on scene they set up containment and called in the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Bomb Squad to assist. The cylinder turned out to be a flashlight that had accidently slipped into the package.
