The San Luis Obispo County Bomb Task Force has determined a suspicious object that was beeping outside a Central Coast bank to be a smoke alarm.
The San Luis Obispo County Bomb Squad was called out to a Rabobank on the 100 block of East Grand Avenue in Arroyo Grande.
According to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, a call was received around 8:30 am Tuesday after someone heard a beeping noise coming from a trash can outside the bank.
It is still unknown how the alarm ended up in the trash can or who placed it there. The Arroyo Grande Police Department has put in a request with Rabobank to review its surveillance system for possible leads.
