Researchers at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center say a simple blood test may be able to predict a patient's risk for recurrence and death from breast cancer.
The blood test may replace more invasive tests that rely on lymph nodes now.
The test removes normal parts of the blood and leaves behind any cells that may have broken away from the cancer.
More studies are in the works. Researchers hope to have some answers within the next five years.
