You may have noticed some construction at a building along Shell Beach Road. It was once the Old Vienna restaurant then Alphy's Basque Chateau. But come September, Shell Beach Brew House is expected to open its doors.
"There will be 30 beers on tap, a full bar and a variety on the menu. The chef from Rooster Creek is coming over here to be our head chef, Jason Gable," said Frank Schiro, a general contractor.
The new addition to Shell Beach is owned by Ash Management. The group owns restaurants and bars in downtown San Luis Obispo as well as Arroyo Grande.
Construction has been underway for about a month.
Changes to the building include much more natural light.
The restaurant will be rustic, yet contemporary, with a beach theme, said Gable.
