MURRIETA, Calif. (AP) - A wildfire has broken out near Lake Elsinore and has quickly consumed 50 acres of heavy brush.
Riverside County fire officials say the fire broke out in the La Cresta area outside Murrieta at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann says the California Highway Patrol is closing roads nearby.
She says there are no structures threatened and no homes in the direct path of fire.
