The Allan Hancock College football team climbed one spot in the Southern California Regional Poll despite losing over the weekend.
The Bulldogs dropped a 31-24 decision to 2nd ranked and undefeated Ventura last Saturday. Cameron Artis-Payne rushed for 223 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries. The sophomore set the program's all-time record for career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns during the game.
Hancock is now 5-3 on the season and ranked #7 in the California Community College So-Cal Regional Poll. The Bulldogs received 146 total votes. Ventura is ranked #2 this week in the region.
The Bulldogs schedule does not get any easier this week. Hancock hosts Bakersfield on Saturday. Bakersfield is 6-2overall and ranked #4 in the So-Cal Region.
