Coming off a 30 point loss at Cerritos, the Allan Hancock College football team slides in the state and regional polls.
The Bulldogs dropped from sixth to ninth in the Southern California Regional Poll, while they fell from 11th to 15th in the State Poll.
The Bulldogs lost 55-25 at Cerritos last Saturday. Cerritos is ranked 14th in the state this week and 7th in the region.
Cameron Artis-Payne, the State Male Athlete of the Month for September, rushed for a season-low 125 yards on 18 carries for the Bulldogs last week. He did not score a touchdown for the first time this season. Quarterback Brandon Jeffries threw for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss. Nicko Shellow caught 4 passes for 102 yards, including 2 touchdowns. Cerritos racked up 499 yards of total offense to the Bulldogs' 330.
Hancock returns to action Saturday night at Pasadena College. Pasadena is 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in the conference play. The Bulldogs are 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference games.
