Bullying in gym class impacts a child's likelihood of exercising

Kids who are bullied during gym class or while playing sports are less likely to become physically active.

A new study of fourth and fifth graders found overweight, obese, and normal weight children who said they were teased during physical activity exercised less a year later.

Researchers were surprised their findings held true for kids with no weight problems.

They say it shows the importance of policies that discourage bullying.
