Bus and car collided near Sisquoc; 4 taken to hospital

Four people were taken to the hospital after a bus and car collided near Sisquoc.

It happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning on Foxen Canyon Road and Orcutt Garey Road. 19 people had minor injuries, 1 person had serious injuries, and another had moderate injuries. Four people were taken to a nearby hospital.

Eleven passengers on the bus were treated. Some of the other patients were bystanders.

Fire crews said it took them about an hour to get everyone out of the bus.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident. Students who were not injured went back to school or were released to their parents.
