Local search and rescue crews said this Labor Day weekend was a busy one for them.
Yesterday, Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue crews rescued a man with heat exhaustion near the Forbush Campground in the Los Padres National Forest. A paramedic was hoisted down, then crews helped hike the man back to the road.
Just as they were finishing up, another call came in for a hiker who had fallen and dislocated his shoulder on Tunnel Trail. Crews tracked him down using his cell phone GPS and hoisted him to safety.
On Sunday, another man had to be rescued after falling about one story from a cliff near Seven Falls and hurting his arm.
