(KGW) The suspect in Oregon bank robbery Tuesday was arrested trying to get a cab ride away from the scene, police said.
Police were called just before noon to the report of a robbery inside the Bank of the West in Oregon City.
A witness said a man had robbed a teller and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
Officers arrived within a minute and a K-9 officer soon found the suspect's jacket, with a Clackamas County inmate identification card inside it.
"About this time, police noticed a cab show up in the area," Lt. Jim Band said. "Officers spoke with the cab driver and watched for the man who called the cab."
The suspect, 32-year-old David M. Literal, attempted to get in the cab and was detained. He had a "substantial amount of cash on him" and was arrested for the robbery, Band said.
