The Cabrillo girls soccer team's historic postseason run ended on Wednesday with a 1-0 loss at top seeded Chaminade in a CIF Southern California Regional Division II semifinal.
The game was 0-0 at halftime, but the Eagles scored about midway through the second half.
The Conquistadores finished the season 17-9-4 overall. Cabrillo's postseason run included the program's first-ever berth in a CIF championship game and regional playoffs.
Chaminade advanced to the Regional Finals. The Eagles won the CIF-Southern Section Division I championship and improved to 25-3-5 for the season. Chaminade is ranked 7th in California and 14th in the country according to MaxPreps.
