Cal Fire has been fighting the control burn in Montana de Oro State Park.

They tell us as of Wednesday morning it's holding at 100 acres outside of the control lines.

Cal Fire says it's 60% contained.

The so called "Coon Creek fire" was supposed to be out by dusk Monday evening but Cal Fire Chief Robert Lewin says strong off-shore winds caused it to grow.

They tell us they expect full containment tomorrow.

Firefighters say the controlled burn was set for wildland management.
