Due to the drought in the state, CAL FIRE announced Tuesday it hired 125 supplemental firefighters in Northern California.
It also extended seasonal firefighting forces in Southern California.
The air attack base in Paso Robles will stay open to allow air tankers and air tactical planes to be immediately available.
CAL FIRE asks everyone to be extra cautious during the drought to prevent fires.
