Despite outshooting the Warriors 18-5, the Cal Poly women's soccer team and Westmont College played to a scoreless draw in an exhibition Thursday night at Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
21st year head coach Alex Crozier played twenty Mustangs, including three goalies.
Freshman Elise Krieghoff fired off a team-high five shots with two on goal. Starter Cristina Farrington had three of her four shots on goal. Nine different Mustangs attempted shots in the match.
Sophomore Heather Rouhier started in goal for Cal Poly and did not face a shot in the first half. Freshman Alyssa Giannetti started the second half and tallied two saves in 23 minutes. Sophomore Megan Heddinger finished the game in goal with one save.
The Mustangs host USC in their second exhibition of the season this Saturday at 1pm. The Cal Poly men host USF at 7pm later on Saturday. Admission is free.
