MALIBU, Calif. - The Cal Poly baseball team fell to Pepperdine Tuesday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium, 11-4.
The loss marks the Mustangs' third straight loss following their 12-game winning streak.
Freshman pitcher Slater Lee suffered his second loss of the season, allowing four hits and four earned runs in just one plus inning of work.
Pepperdine had 18 total hits in the win, twice as many as the Cal Poly offense could muster. The only Mustangs who recorded more than one hit were senior Jimmy Allen and junior Tommy Pluschkell, who both finished with two.
Cal Poly falls to 36-8 overall; the Mustangs open a three-game series against UC Riverside starting on Friday night.
