Cal Poly baseball earns 6-5 win at Saint Mary's

MORAGA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Baseball team held off Saint Mary's 6-5 at Louis Guisto Field on Tuesday, improving to 42-10 and setting a single season program record for wins in a season.

Cal Poly starter Danny Zandona was solid over five innings to earn his second victory in as many starts.

Saint Mary's started things off in the first inning with two runs. Anthony Gonsolin tripled to right center allowing DonAndre Clark to score. Gonsolin scored on an RBI ground out later in the inning.

The Mustangs scored one run in the third inning, three more in the fourth and led the rest of the way.

Cal Poly ends their regular season with a three game series at Cal State Northridge beginning on Friday at 3 PM.
