SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal Poly baseball team beat Saint Mary's 6-2 on Tuesday at Baggett Stadium.
Cal Poly started the action in the first inning with Mark Mathius scoring after Nick Torres had a fly out to center field. The Mustangs continued the action in the second inning when Zack Zehner got the next run.
Mustang Justin Calomeni only allowed one run over five innings and earned his sixth win.
Cal Poly had a run in the fourth inning by Jimmy Allen. Allen finished two for five with an RBI. Peter Van Gansen reached base all four plate appearances and drove in three runs.
Saint Mary's answered when Ricky Boas got a run top of the seventh inning, making the score 6-2 Cal Poly.
The Cal Poly Baseball team is headed to Hawaii for a three game series starting Friday.
