The Cal Poly men's basketball remains winless after a 25 point loss at St.Mary's.
The Mustangs were within six early in the second half but ended up losing to the Gaels 92-67.
St.Mary's shot 59 percent from the floor while the Mustangs shot 43 percent. Cal Poly made just 3 of 16 three-point shots and converted just 42 percent of its free throws.
St.Mary's Omar Samhan set a career high in scoring
for the second straight game with 33 points and 12 rebounds.
St.Mary's improved to 3-1. All of their wins have come by 22 points or more.
Jordan Lewis had a career-high 14 with four rebounds while Will Taylor added 11 points for the Mustangs.
Morro Bay High graduate Dylan Royer played the final four minutes of the game. He missed his only field goal attempt.
Cal Poly wraps up its season opening five-game road trip Saturday at Arkansas-Little Rock.
