Cal Poly's Andre Broadous to play in front of scouts at BSN Showcase

Cal Poly senior quarterback Andre Broadous has been invited to the Beyond Sports Network Collegiate Showcase this weekend at the University of Akron.

Players will perform in front of general managers, scouts and representatives from the NFL, Canadian Football League and Arena Football League.

Athletes from more than 600 colleges and universities from the Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III and NAIA levels will compete in several events on the Akron campus. It includes a kicking showcase, testing combine, position drills, 7 on 7 drills and an All-Star Game.

Broadous was named Cal Poly's Offensive MVP last fall. He led the Mustangs to a share of the Big Sky Conference title, a berth in the second round of the FCS playoffs and a 9-3 overall record. He led the Big Sky in passing efficiency and threw for 1,375 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 500 yards and 9 scores. His Cal Poly career included 3,120 yards and 31 touchdowns passing with just five interceptions to go with 1,459 yards and 30 touchdowns rushing.
