Cal Poly's Eversley and Royer earn All-Conference honors

Cal Poly's Chris Eversley and Dylan Royer along with UC Santa Barbara's Alan Williams and Kyle Boswell earned Big West Conference honors on Monday.

Eversley, a junior, and Williams, a sophomore, were named to the All-Conference First Team. Royer and Boswell were All-Conference Honorable Mentions.

Eversley is the first Mustang in six years to lead the team in both scoring and rebounds. The junior averaged 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He has earned Big West Player of the Week award twice and scored 20 or more points in nine games this season. He's the first Mustang in two years to earn a spot on the First Team.

Royer, a Morro Bay High graduate, finished the regular season second on the team with 9.9 points per game. He ranked seventh in the conference with a .412 three-point shooting percentage.

Williams overcame injuries to lead the Big West in rebounds at 10.7 per game and ranked fourth in scoring with 17.6 points per game. The sophomore recorded 15 double-doubles this season. He scored a career-high 32 points against Cal State Northridge.

Boswell averaged 13.2 points per game and shot 42 percent from 3-point range. He scored 23 or more points in four games including a season high 27 against Hawaii. The junior also became the first Gaucho to win the Conference's Best Sixth Player Award. The three-point specialist hit 3 or more triples in 16 games and knocked down a career-best 7 against San Diego State.

UCSB is the #7 seed for the Big West Tournament and plays #2 Pacific on Thursday at 12 pm in the first round in Anaheim. Cal Poly secured the #3 seed and plays #6 UC Davis around 2:30 pm on Thursday.
