Santa Barbara County Sheriff's officials tell KSBY News that 18-year old Giselle Ayala's injuries were consistent with a fall, but the exact cause and manner of her death are still unknown. Toxicology results are expected in 4-6 weeks.
Giselle's body was found in the water Saturday morning near Campus Point in Goleta. Sheriff's investigators say she was last seen on Friday night. They say she was in the Santa Barbara area for "Deltopia", a spring break party known for heavy drinking.
Giselle was a freshman sociology major from Santa Rosa.
The Sheriff's Office says the case is still under investigation.
