Cal Poly to offer new fire protection engineering degree

Beginning this fall, Cal Poly will offer a new master's degree program in Fire Protection Engineering.
The program will be one of three in the nation, and the only one offered on the West Coast.
Students starting Fall 2010 will be able to take classes both on campus and online, in order to accommodate working professionals. The program will focus on the built environment and include courses taught by professors in mechanical engineering, construction management, architecture and civil engineering.
