Cal Poly volleyball finishes the season 4-26

Sam Crosson's first season as head coach of the Cal Poly volleyball team ended with a 3-0 home loss to Long Beach State on Saturday night. The Mustangs finish the season 4-26 overall, 3-15 in the Big West. Second place Long Beach State finishes the regular season 18-11, 13-5 in the conference. Game scores were 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Junior outside hitter Molly Franks led the Mustangs with 14 kills while sophomore setter Shannon Garrett was tops on the team with 18 assists.

The Mustangs will lose one senior, outside hitter Molly Pon. Pon was second on the team behind Franks in kills. Crosson will get back middle blocker Jennifer Keddy, the teams best player missed the season after having shoulder surgery. Keddy will have one year of eligibility remaining.
