CalFire investigating suspicious packages in San Simeon

CalFire has been called out to investigate a couple of suspicious packages in San Simeon.
According to CalFire, a person saw two packages on the beach in San Simeon off of Balboa Avenue. The packages have hazardous materials symbols on them.
Calfire says that they appear to be a prank but are investigating.
The Hazmat team has not been dispatched to the incident, but investigators are currently assessing the situation.
