RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - A California couple is facing child abuse charges after they allegedly beat their adopted children with belts and metal objects.

Riverside County prosecutors filed the charges against 60-year-old Gregory Lacy and 43-year-old LaQuron Lacy earlier this month. Gregory Lacy also was charged with sexual assault. Both are scheduled to be arraigned next week.

Investigators were called to the couple's home in July where a man had been shot and killed. Court documents show the home's lower level was converted into a strip club and Ecstasy pills were found on a kitchen counter.

Authorities say the Lacys have seven adopted children, all under the age of 11. Gregory Lacy is accused of hitting his children with belts and a metal cane, while his wife allegedly used hangars and metal objects.
