SAN JACINTO, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California woman has been arrested for the second time on suspicion of beaming a laser at a law enforcement aircraft.
San Jacinto police said 31-year-old Irene Marie Levy pointed a laser at a police car Friday night. When a Riverside County sheriff's helicopter went to look for the suspect, Levy pointed the laser at the aircraft several times.
The pilot directed police to where the laser was coming from, and officers arrested Levy at her home.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports (http://bit.ly/YmLQIi) Levy pleaded guilty Oct. 9 to charges of beaming a laser at a firefighting aircraft in July.
In May 2010, her 30-hour broadcast on a ham radio interrupted police radios. She pleaded guilty to charges related to that incident and was ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluations.
