California Gray whale calf found dead on Goleta beach

A California Gray whale calf was found dead on a beach near Goleta Wednesday night.
The cause of death is unknown.
It is also unknown whether the calf is the same one seen last Wednesday in the waters between the Ty Warner Sea Center and Stearns Wharf.
The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History will coordinate a necropsy Thursday.
