California Highway Patrol officers will be out in full force this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
They will target drivers who are impaired, speeding, talking on a cell phone and not wearing seat belts.
"We want everyone to be able to enjoy celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with their families," said Lieutenant Kurt Kruse, Commander of the Buellton CHP office.
He added, "However, if you're going to be drinking alcohol, arrange in advance to have a non-drinking designated driver available, or use alternative transportation, such as a taxicab."
