California Highway Patrol prepares for royal visit

The California Highway Patrol is urging drivers to stay out of the Santa Barbara area during the royal couple's visit on Saturday to avoid potential traffic headaches.

CHP Officer Jeremy Wayland said if you do have to be on the state roads, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.

CHP officers will be out in full force in Santa Barbara County tomorrow, mostly focused on traffic control. No roads will be closed during the royal visit to the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club for a charity match.

They will strictly enforce no parking on streets in the immediate area that are off limits.

The club is on private property so you won't be able to go on the site unless you have a four thousand dollar ticket to watch the charity competition.
